1. I was born in Haifa, Israel.
2. My maiden name was Ilana Adelstein (maybe someone will google search).
3. A typical Israeli-born “sabra” -
(metaphorically = prickly exterior but a tender heart).
4. I’m Jewish but not at all religious.
5. Definitely heterosexual.
6. My dad was a ship’s captain and when i was a kid, we traveled all over the world.
7. My family moved to New York City when I was 12.
8. We lived in forest hills, queens for 7 years and…
9. Then left N.Y to go back home to Israel.
10. I miss NY very much (here’s my high school yearbook - the wonders of the Internet :)
11. My brother stayed in the USA and lives in NY.
12. I have 2 wonderful sons (Danny & Oded), a gorgeous granddaughter named - Elinor and my granddaughter bar was born Jan 17,2007.
13. My kids actually enjoy my company.
14. I believe in a loving God.
15. And that there’s a spiritual dimension to life.
16. I  enjoyed reading “A course in miracles”.
17. And I believe that spirituality is the road to personal growth.
18. Working the 12 steps is a major part of my life.
19. Thanks to the program which i am attending regularly (Naranon actually) -
20. I quite smoking on Dec 22, 2001…
21. And this is after many years of being a heavy smoker and yes -
22. It is possible to quit smoking!!!
23. Can’t stand the weight I gained though.
24. I hate housework.
25. But enjoy cooking -
26. with a lot of garlic, onions and olive oil.
27. I prefer fish over meat.
28. I can never get bored.
29. And will always find something creative to do.
30. I don’t watch TV that much -
31. except for the Oprah show, which i try not to miss.
32. Was greatly inspired by Iyanla Vanzant who appeared on the show.
33. I LOVE surfing the Internet;
34. Keeping a blog online…
35. and interacting with my friends in the blogosphere.
36. I got connected to the Internet in may 2000.
37. It was love at first sight.
38. The first place i surfed to was black planet.
39. I have a page at black planet. why black planet? Oprah sent me.
40. I’ve personally met 5 people that i got to know through the internet.
41. Before the internet i used to spend a lot of time browsing in bookstores.
42. I work as a graphic designer for a local newspaper .
43. Mostly i do the sports and the culture sections of the newspaper.
44. I work 4 days a week which is cool.
45. And i’m my own boss.
46. I have not had a date in a very long time.
47. I wish i did, but don’t really make an effort to meet men.
48. it’s usually work-home-internet for me these days.
49. As most Israelis, i too am concerned about the situation with our Palestinian neighbors (’our cousins’).
50. I usually listen to the radio throughout the day at work and follow the news.
51. Living day in and day out with terror is no picnic. it’s scary as hell!
52. I pray for peace.
53. I get lost and confused in crowds.
54. But enjoy a good one on one heart to heart talk,
55. and can be a very good friend.
56. I don’t drive.
57. I walk a lot and enjoy it very much.
58. I bought a cell phone just recently.
59. Never in my life have i worn lipstick…
60. Maybe i will when i grow up :)
61. I have a cute little spider tattoo though,
62. and will not leave the house without wearing earrings.
63. I’m a home kinda person.
64. I own my own apartment overlooking the beautiful Haifa bay,
65. and love having friends & family over for a barbecue on the terrace.

68. I’ve been in love 3 times in my life.
69. Saved all the personal letters i’ve received.
70. Birthday cards & greeting cards as well.
71. I got married when i was 20.
72. Was divorced at 30.
73. My ex and i are good friends (well, so so).
74. Some people say i talk too much.
75. And that i get too enthusiastic about certain things.
76. And… ask too many questions.
77. I can’t understand why that’s not good.
78. I love everything COUNTRY.
79. When i hear Dolly Parton sing, for instance - i melt.

83. But i’m doing my best to overcome that.
84. I love wearing jeans or jeans oriented clothing.
85. I’ve always kept a personal journal.
86. I consider myself punctual.
87. I cry in movies.
88. Enjoy stand-up comedy.
89. I fear rejection.
90. Dislike people who are false or insincere.
91. I never ever take sleeping pills or tranquilizers.
92. When my head hits the pillow - i’m asleep.
93. Even if there are dirty dishes in the sink :)
94. I have a dishwasher but i rarely use it.
95. I wish i had more money.
96. I wish i could move to a newer house.
97. I design & build websites as a freelancer.
98. I get lonely at times, wishing there was a man in my life but nevertheless -
